- Main Contractor: Mansell Construction Services Limited
- Architect: Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects
- Civil Engineer: Alex Baxter & Associates
Funding from the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham capital programme and a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund enabled the redevelopment project of Valence House, the only surviving manor house in Dagenham. It dates back to Medieval times and is still partially surrounded by a moat.
Work on this project consisted of:
- Refurbishing 12th century Valence House which required strengthening of all timber floor beams
- New roof to existing archive store
- New fully galvanised steel framed Visitor’s Centre
- Creation of new mezzanine floor for archive or museum stores
